Door styles we install
The main difference between styles is how much metal surrounds the glass. A frameless door has no metal frame around the glass. A framed door has a metal frame around it. A semi-frameless door sits between the two and uses less metal than a framed door. Each style has its own page.
- Frameless shower doors: heavy glass held by hinges and hardware, including fixed panels and return panels.
- Semi-frameless shower doors: for tubs and showers.
- Framed shower doors: sliding for tubs and showers, hinged for showers.
- Sliding and bypass shower doors: two panels that pass each other, including barn style sliders.
- Swing, hinged and pivot shower doors: a door that opens on a hinge or a pivot.
- Corner and neo-angle shower enclosures: a door with fixed glass panels around a corner.
- Steam shower enclosures: glass enclosures that run to the ceiling.
- Glass tub enclosures: sliding glass doors for a bathtub.
Choosing a layout
Start with the space you have. A bathtub with a wall at each end usually takes a sliding tub door. A shower set into a corner can take a door with a fixed panel beside it, or a corner enclosure where two glass sides meet at the corner. A neo-angle enclosure cuts across the corner with an angled front. A steam shower is a closed glass enclosure that runs to the ceiling.
A fixed panel is a piece of glass that does not move. A return panel is a side panel set at an angle to the door. Both can be part of a frameless layout. If you are not sure which layout fits, call (330) 535-1558 or send us a photo of the space and we will help you sort it out.
Hardware finishes
Shower door hardware comes in five finishes: chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, oil rubbed bronze and satin brass. When you ask for a quote, tell us which finish you want, and send a photo of your bathroom if you are matching other fixtures. The shower glass options page has more on finishes.
Glass choices
Shower glass can be frosted, textured, tinted or extra clear. We can also apply an easy clean coating. Frosted and textured glass give more privacy, and extra clear glass shows your tile. Tell us what you want to see, or hide, and we will quote it.

Repair for an existing shower door
If your shower door is already installed and something has gone wrong, we can look at the glass, the rollers, the hinges and the seals. Tell us what is wrong and send a photo. See shower door repair for the details.
What we need to give you a quote
A good quote starts with a good description of the opening. Please send us:
- The layout: a straight door in a tub or shower, a corner, or a larger enclosure.
- The style: frameless, semi-frameless or framed.
- The width and height of the opening.
- The hinge side, if the door swings.
- The glass you want.
- The hardware finish you want.
- A photo of the opening.
We use your details to prepare your quote. Send them through the quote page, or call us at (330) 535-1558 and read them to us.
