Bathroom and vanity mirrors

North Hill Glass and Mirror makes bathroom and vanity mirrors to the size of your space. Our shop is at 560 N. Main St in Akron, and the phone number is (330) 535-1558. Tell us the width and height of the wall where the mirror will hang and send a photo, and we will take the job from there.

What a bathroom or vanity mirror is

A vanity mirror hangs above a sink or a vanity cabinet. Some stretch across the full width of the counter, and some are a smaller piece centered over the sink. Bathroom mirrors also include medicine cabinet faces, a mirror beside a tub or a stand-alone mirror for a dressing area.

Size is the main decision. A mirror that is a little narrower than the vanity can look small, and one that runs past the counter may bump into a light, a wall or a door casing. Looking at the wall before you order helps.

What to have ready when you call

• The width and height of the wall space, measured at more than one point because walls are not always square.
• The width of the vanity or sink, so the mirror can be sized against it.
• Anything on the wall that the mirror has to work around, such as a light fixture, an outlet, a switch or a window.
• Whether you want a plain edge or a beveled one.
• A photo of the bathroom wall, taken straight on.
• If you are replacing a mirror, the size of the old one, and whether it is glued to the wall or hung on clips.

If an old mirror is glued to the wall, mention it. Removing a glued mirror is a different job from lifting one off hooks.
