Shower door repair in Akron

Glass, rollers, hinges and seals on a door you already have, from our Akron shop.

North Hill Glass and Mirror repairs existing shower doors. We work on the glass, rollers, hinges and seals. Our shop is in Akron. Call (330) 535-1558, tell us what is wrong, and send a photo if you can.

What shower door repair covers

Repair means fixing a door that is already installed, instead of putting in a new one. Shower doors have parts that wear or break. The glass can crack or chip. Rollers on a sliding door can wear out. Hinges on a swinging door can loosen or fail. Seals around the door can wear down.

Our repair service covers those four areas: glass, rollers, hinges and seals. If one part has failed, repair may be what you need, and a photo helps us see which part it is.

Repair suits you if your door is the right style and size for your shower, and one piece of it has stopped doing its job. If the whole door is worn out or you want a different look, a new door may make more sense. See our shower doors and enclosures page for every style we install.

What we offer

We repair existing shower doors: the glass, the rollers, the hinges and the seals. We cannot promise a repair for every door or every maker, so photos help us see what you have.

Rollers belong to sliding doors, so our sliding and bypass shower doors page shows what those doors look like. Hinges belong to swinging doors, and our page on swing, hinged and pivot doors shows that style.

We also install new doors. If repair does not fit your door, ask us about a replacement.

What to have ready when you call

Some facts make a repair easier to price. Gather these before you call.

  • What is wrong, in plain words: cracked glass, a door that sticks, a loose hinge, a worn seal.
  • The kind of door: sliding, hinged, frameless, semi-frameless or framed.
  • Photos of the whole door, and close photos of the part that is broken.
  • Any name, number or mark you can find on the hardware or the frame.
  • The size of the door or the glass, if you can measure it.
  • For a hinged door, the hinge side.
