North Hill Glass and Mirror in Akron, Ohio

What we do

North Hill Glass and Mirror is a glass shop in Akron. We work for homeowners and for businesses. Our work falls into five groups: shower doors, window glass and doors, mirrors, custom glass and storefront glass. If you are not sure which group your job belongs to, call (330) 535-1558 and describe it to us.

Shower doors and enclosures

We install frameless, semi-frameless and framed shower doors. We also do sliding and bypass doors, swing and pivot doors, corner and neo-angle enclosures, steam shower enclosures and glass doors for bathtubs. Hardware comes in five finishes: chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, oil rubbed bronze and satin brass. Start with our shower doors and enclosures page, or go straight to frameless shower doors or glass tub enclosures.

Window glass and doors

We replace the glass in residential windows, and the new glass goes into the frame you already have. If the glass in a window has turned foggy or failed but the window is otherwise fine, we can replace the insulated glass on site or in our shop. We replace broken single pane and storm window glass as well, and that is glass only, with no frame repair. We do not replace window frames, so call us about anything that involves one. See window glass replacement for the full picture. Screens are rescreened in our shop, and we replace the glass in patio and sliding doors and in storm and entry doors.

Mirrors

We make and install bathroom and vanity mirrors and full wall and gym mirrors. We also cut mirrors to size or shape for framing or hanging, put a new mirror in an existing frame, and polish or bevel the edges. The mirrors page has the full list.

Custom glass

Our custom glass work starts from your measurements. It includes glass table tops in any size or shape, glass shelves, glass for cabinet doors and furniture, display cases, tempered safety glass, plexiglass and polycarbonate sheet, sneeze guards and barriers, and aquarium lids.

Storefront and commercial glass

For businesses we do commercial storefront glass, including storefronts for new construction. We also handle commercial entrance doors with their closers, hinges, pivots, locks and panic devices, plus glass partitions and glass railings.

Where we work

Our shop is in Akron. We work in Summit County and in parts of Cuyahoga, Medina, Portage, Stark and Wayne counties. The service area page lists the places we serve, and the Akron page covers our home city.

Ask for a quote

Tell us what you need and send a photo if you can. For a shower door, we ask for the layout, the opening width and height and the hinge side. For a window, we ask how many and what size. For a mirror or custom piece, we ask for the size, the shape and the edge you want. We use your details to prepare your quote.
