About North Hill Glass and Mirror

The shop

North Hill Glass and Mirror has been in business since 1928, 99 years. The shop is at 560 N. Main St, Akron, OH 44310, and the office number is (330) 535-1558. We cut, make and install glass and mirror for homes and for businesses.

What we do

Our work falls into five groups.

• Shower doors and enclosures, including repair of doors that are already installed.
• Window glass and doors: window glass replacement, insulated glass, window and door glass, and screens.
• Mirrors for bathrooms, walls and gyms, cut to your size, with polished or beveled edges.
• Custom glass: table tops, shelves, cabinet and furniture glass, display cases, acrylic and polycarbonate sheet, sneeze guards, barriers and aquarium lids.
• Commercial and storefront glass, including entrance doors, partitions and railings.

The full list is on our services page.

Where our work stops

We would rather tell you what a service does not cover than leave you guessing. Some limits to know about:

• Window work is the glass in your existing frame. We do not replace window frames, and window glass repair does not include frame repair.
• Storm window repair is glass only, too.
• Screens are rescreened in our shop, so the frame needs to come to us.
• For patio and sliding doors, we replace the glass.

If your job sits near one of these lines, call (330) 535-1558 and describe it. We will tell you whether we can take it on.

How we work with you

We do not post prices on this site, because each job depends on the size, the style and the materials. Instead, you send us the details and we prepare a quote. For shower doors that means the layout, the opening size and a photo. For mirrors and custom glass it means the size, the shape and the edge. For window glass it means how many and what size. We require a deposit on orders. You can send these through the quote page or read them to us on the phone.

Where we work

Our shop is in Akron. We work in Summit County and in parts of Cuyahoga, Medina, Portage, Stark and Wayne counties. The service area page lists the places we serve, and the Akron page covers our home city.
